About Simon
With over two decades of experience in landscape design, Simon Evans brings a refined blend of British heritage and modern Canadian design to every project. Originally from the UK, Simon’s approach is rooted in timeless elegance — combining structure, texture, and natural flow to create outdoor spaces that feel both elevated and effortless.
A graduate of Niagara College’s Landscape Design program, Simon built his career from the ground up, co-founding and operating Northscape, a leading landscape design and construction firm that served the Greater Toronto Area for over 15 years. During this time, Simon led projects ranging from intimate residential gardens to expansive commercial properties and prestigious golf course designs — including Rosedale Golf and Country Club, Granite Golf Club, Bayview Golf and Country Club, and Oakdale Golf and Country Club.
Simon is also highly skilled in horticulture and landscape lighting design, offering both as part of his comprehensive services. His deep knowledge of plant selection, seasonal balance, and natural textures ensures every project thrives long after installation. Paired with his expertise in lighting design, Simon creates landscapes that are as stunning by night as they are by day — highlighting architectural features, enhancing safety, and extending the enjoyment of each space year-round.
Today, through his boutique firm Simon Evans Landscape Design, Simon focuses on delivering modern, functional, and beautifully balanced outdoor spaces for clients across the Blue Mountains, Thornbury, and Collingwood region. Known for his professionalism, creativity, and easygoing nature, Simon ensures that every project — large or small — is approached with clear communication, thoughtful detail, and a genuine passion for design.
